Professor Charles Cho, from the Schulich School of Business (York University, Canada), visited the Porto Accounting and Business School (ISCAP), for a research seminar entitled “Sustainability Accounting Education: Challenges and Outlook”, on May 12th.
This event took place as part of a collaboration between CEOS.PP and CICF (IPCA), promoted by lecturers Cláudia Teixeira and Ana Maria Bandeira (CEOS.PP), and Patrícia Gomes, Sónia Monteiro and Ana Dinis (CICF).
With the support of ISCAP's Presidency, the event was part of the activities of CEOS.PP's Sustainability and Social Business research group and also contributed to the institution's internationalization mission.
Internationally recognized for his contributions to sustainability accounting, Professor Charles Cho is editor of Accounting Forum, a member of the GRI Global Sustainability Standards Board and co-founder of the Accounting for Impact network. During the seminar, he shared reflections on the challenges and trends in teaching sustainability accounting, highlighting the book Cases and Exercises on Sustainability Accounting, of which he is co-editor, together with Ericka Costa (University of Trento) and Blerita Korca (University of Bamberg).
The event brought together students, teachers and researchers from various institutions, providing a space for sharing knowledge, networking and promoting scientific research in the area of accounting and sustainability.
