Amélia Ferreira da Silva is an associate professor at the Porto Accounting and Business School, Polytechnic Institute of Porto. She teaches Cost Accounting, Management Accounting and Strategic Management Accounting. Since 2011, she holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Vigo, Spain. Her research interests are Accounting and Management Control in Healthcare, Accountability in Public Organisations, and Business Failure Prediction. She has participated in international conferences and national and international projects. She also has scientific publications and collaborations as a peer reviewer in international journals.
