Sara Moreira

Junior Researcher

Sara researches intersections between technology, communication and eco-social transformation, with a particular interest in the solidarity economy, agroecology and the commons. With a degree and a master's in Informatics and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. PhD student in the Information and Knowledge Society programme at the Interdisciplinary Internet Institute of the Open University of Catalonia (IN3/UOC), where she is awaiting the defence of her thesis entitled ‘Communicative ecologies of the “other economies”: case studies on commoning, solidarity economy and alternative food networks in Portugal and Catalonia’. Sara is a collaborating member of the Institute of Sociology at the University of Porto (IS-UP) and has a research grant from the Agrovila project at CEOS.PP.
