Sónia Monteiro

Associate Researcher

Sónia Monteiro is an associate professor at the School of Management of the Polytechnic University of Cávado and Ave (IPCA), in Barcelos, Portugal, where she is president of the technical-scientific council. She holds a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Minho (1997), a Master of Accounting and Auditing from the University of Minho (2002) and a PhD in Business Sciences (specialisation in Accounting) from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2007). Her main areas of research are Sustainable Development and Non-Financial Reporting. At the Research Centre on Accounting and Taxation (CICF), she leads the research group dedicated to Accounting and Social Responsibility and is also president of the CICF's Scientific Council. She is an ambassador for the SDG Alliance Portugal - United Nations Global Compact.
