Maria João Castro

Associate Researcher

Maria João Castro completed her PhD in IT Management, at the University of Minho, in 2005. During the last 19 years, she has been a senior lecturer at the Porto Accounting and Business School. She participated in events organisation in Portugal in the area of Information Technology. She is a member of the Scientific Council of RISTI journal. She is member of scientific committees of four international conferences. Her main current research interests are: Applicability of Alternative Informatics in Higher Education, Student Retention Strategies in Higher Education and IT Security.
