Ariel Behr
Associate Researcher
Ariel Behr holds a Ph.D. in Business Sciences (Decision Support and Information Systems) and B.Sc. in Accounting from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. The researcher is an associate Professor at UFRGS in the Department of Accounting and Actuarial Sciences, and a permanent faculty member in the Ph.D. Program in Business (PPGA/EA/UFRGS) and the M.Sc. Program in Accounting and Controllership (PPGCont/FCE/UFRGS). His research focuses on Management and Accounting Information Systems and Accounting Education, with emphasis on decision-making, cost management, and strategic planning in the public sector. He teaches 'Research Planning and Methodologies', as well as 'Social Aspects of Information Systems Management'. He is a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow, Editor-in-Chief of Revista ConTexto, and leader of the GPITEC research group. He is particularly committed to the training of new researchers.
