On May 7, 2025, at 09:30, ISCAP/IPP will host a webinar as part of the ISCAP/IPP Accounting Webinar Series. The session, titled "Reflections on Impactful Accounting Education: Co-Designing Sustainable Accounting Tools with Students" will feature guest speaker Ian Thomson from the University of Dundee.
Guest speaker Bionote:
Professor Ian Thomson is a distinguished academic with over three decades of experience in accounting and sustainability. He has held prominent positions at several prestigious institutions, including the Birmingham Business School, University of Strathclyde, and Heriot-Watt University. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Centre for Responsible Business and convenor of the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research at the University of Dundee. Thomson's research spans a wide array of topics, including cleaner technology implementation, stakeholder engagement, risk governance, sustainable development indicators, climate change, and pedagogy. His work has significantly influenced policy-making and corporate sustainability strategies. Notably, he has advised organizations such as the UN World Food Programme, the Scottish Parliament, and various professional accountancy bodies.
The webinar is integrated into the curriculum of several degree programs at ISCAP, including Bachelor's in Accounting and Administration, in Consulting and Translation, in Business Communication and in Accounting and Finance and Master's in Corporate Finance, in Auditing and in Management and Legal Framework of the Social Economy.
This event is aimed for students, faculty, and researchers in the field of accounting and is organized under the auspices of CEOS.PP, which focuses on promoting excellence in organizational and social studies.
