About the Event
On May 14, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., ISCAP's Grand Auditorium will host the event entitled “The Port of Leixões and Sustainability”. This initiative promotes reflection on the importance of sustainability in the port context and the challenges faced by the Port of Leixões in adapting to current environmental and social demands.
The seminar will be attended by Amadeu Rocha, Advisor to the Administração dos Portos de Douro, Leixões e Viana do Castelo, SA (APDL), who will share his experience and vision of integrating sustainable practices in Portuguese ports. His talk addresses the strategies adopted by the Port of Leixões to minimize environmental impact, optimize resources and promote sustainable development in the region.
This event offers an excellent opportunity for students, professionals and other interested parties to learn about sustainability practices in the port sector and understand how they influence the future of port infrastructures in Portugal and around the world.
