About the Event

FLYER

On December 17th ISCAP hosts the Seminar Entrepreneurship in digital consultancy, with two sessions: at 10:30 am in Auditorium I and at 7:00 pm in Amphitheater 1.

This event will feature Paula Ribeiro, ISCAP Alumni, speaker and international guest, bilingual virtual assistant Portuguese / English and founder of the company Paula A F Ribeiro Business & Virtual Assistant based in the UK, Manchester.

In Paula Ribeiro's words "in a digital world, to undertake as a virtual assistant is, without a doubt, to create one's own professional outlet, and that was the path I chose for myself. However, choosing the virtual side doesn't mean that you have fewer challenges to face. Most of the challenges of traditional advising are also found in the virtual side. This presentation aims to address the challenges, advantages, and disadvantages associated with digital advising, and to demonstrate how the Advising and Translation course prepares students for any of these aspects.

Paula Ribeiro was born on the island of Maio, Cape Verde, where she has lived (until now) most of her life. She moved to Portugal when she was 19. In Portugal she got a degree in Counseling and Translation at ISCAP and an MA in African Studies at ISCSP. She decided to become a virtual assistant so she could focus on the areas she likes, exploring each one individually so she could develop herself helping others.

The event is organized by CEOS.PP's research line Communication and Languages in Organizational Environments (CLOE).
