Communication and Technologies
CT RG is dedicated to developing cutting-edge research into areas such as digital humanities, multimodal and multilingual communication, digital communication, education technologies, digital marketing, and human-computer interaction, as well as its various impacts. By integrating advanced methodologies and staying attuned to emerging trends, the CT RG seeks to advance knowledge and contribute to shape innovative solutions that address the evolving challenges and opportunities in the dynamic landscape of technologies and communication. The dissemination of knowledge on Technologies 4.0 is transversal to several actions and running projects. This is the case of the ETLI project that uses digital literacy for inclusion (LLP Erasmus Multilateral Project), VRP4Youth, which employs virtual reality and rapid prototyping learning with the purpose of potentiating youth employment (Erasmus+ funded project), and DEMS, which proposes to equip business educators and students with E-marketing skills (Erasmus+ funded project). Among the several projects that will be running between 2025 and 2029, some have recently started. This is the case of ENGood - Engineering for Good: Including social perspective in engineering programs (Erasmus+ project; 2023-2026) aiming at building a training program for multidimensional development of technology courses to prepare future engineers with the essential skills to analyse the social, economic, environmental, or political of new technologies. Also, several project proposals are waiting for funding approval, such as Cult@ Intel-Incentivise Excellence in Digitally- transformed Pedagogy: Applying Cultural Intelligence for Students’ Inclusiveness and Success in Higher Education (submitted to Erasmus+ KA2 program), conceived to use good digital practices and digitally transformed pedagogy to create inclusive learning environments, reward and incentivise excellence and promote the success of students with cultural differences.
