On 12 June, the MiGAP project team organised a technical-scientific working session on the subject of migration.
The team had the opportunity to attend a presentation of the work carried out by each sub-team so far, as well as a discussion and definition of the project's future actions.
This was followed by a working session, which took place between 10.30am and 1pm, and included contributions from Dr Reena Kukreia, from Queer's University, in the Global Development Studies department, and Dr Lana Gonzalez, from the Balsillie School of International Affairs, University of Waterloo, who presented the results of their studies on the subject of migration.
In the second part of the session, Dr Joana Topa and Ana Luísa Martinho presented data on the migrant population in Portugal, with the study "Migration in Portugal: Between realities and needs".
The session allowed everyone involved to share their knowledge on the subject of migration, promoting awareness of the various approaches.
