Raquel Cardoso

Associate Researcher

Raquel Cardoso holds a PhD in Feminist Studies, a Master of Anglo-American Studies and a Bachelor of Modern Languages and Literature from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra. She also has a postgraduate course in Modern English and American Literature from the University College Dublin.
She has been awarded Calouste Gulbenkian, British Council, Erasmus and FCT scholarships and has received the "1996 American Club of Lisbon Award for Academic Merit" by FLAD and Fulbright.
Professor at the Polytechnic University of Coimbra, ISCAC, where she teaches Business English, English for Management, Accounting, Finance and Law, and Portuguese Oral and Written Communication Techniques since 1996.
Gender, Feminist and Women Studies are her current areas of research and she was recently invited for the Commission for Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination – Polytechnic University of Coimbra.
She is author of several publications in conferences, books and scientific journals.
