She holds a PhD in Accounting and Financial Economics, and a Bachelor and Master of Accounting and Administration. Professor at the Porto Accounting and Business School, since 1999, where she is currently director of the bachelor's degree in Accounting and Administration since 2010. She was director of the master's degree in Accounting and Finance from 2010 until 2018. She is a member of the Portuguese Chartered Accountants Association and of the General Council of the Portuguese Accounting Standards Committee representing the António Sérgio Cooperative for Social Economy. She has several articles published in indexed scientific journals, chapters in books and two books. She has also published articles in periodicals and made presentations at national and international congresses.
