No próximo dia 28 de setembro, pelas 9h30, realiza-se o seguinte seminário no âmbito do ISCAP/IPP Accounting Webinar Series.

 

Handbook of Accounting, Accountability and Governance: Prospects for accounting, accountability and governance.  Oradores convidados: Garry Carnegie (RMIT) e Christopher Napier (Royal Holloway, University of London).

 

O webinar está integrado nas actividades de unidades curriculares da Licenciatura em Contabilidade e Administração; Licenciatura em Assessoria e Tradução; Licenciatura em Comunicação Empresarial; Mestrado em Contabilidade e Finanças; Mestrado em Finanças Empresariais; e Mestrado em Gestão e Regime Jurídico-Empresarial da Economia Social.

Guest Speakers:

Professor Garry Carnegie is an Emeritus Professor of RMIT University having served as Head, School of Accounting and Professor of Accounting at RMIT from 2010 to 2017. Prior to joining academe in 1985, Professor Carnegie gained experience in the IT industry, professional accounting services and in financial services. Prior to joining RMIT, he held full-time professorial posts at Deakin University, Melbourne University Private/The University of Melbourne, and at the University of Ballarat (now Federation University Australia). He was the Editor/Joint Editor of Accounting History for a continuous period of 25 years and is an Associate Editor of Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal. Professor Christopher Napier is Professor of Accounting at Royal Holloway University of London. After studying Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of Oxford, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and then began his academic career in 1979 at the London School of Economics. He moved to the University of Southampton as Professor of Accounting in 1996 and later gained a PhD degree from Southampton, before taking up his current appointment at Royal Holloway in 2006. Christopher's research interests include accounting theory, financial reporting, accounting history, governance, Islamic accounting and environmental accounting.
