On March 3, at 09h30, a webinar will be held on "The gradual retreat from academic citizenship", as part of "The ISCAP/IPP Accounting Webinar Series".
March 03, 2022 (9:30am PT/UK time). The guest speaker is Professor Meredith Tharapos (RMIT University, Melbourne Australia)
This seminar is integrated in the activities of the curricular units of the Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Administration, Counselling and Translation; and of the Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance, Master's Degree in Corporate Finance and Master's Degree in Social Economics. The event is aimed at students, teachers and researchers in the accounting area; and is part of the research line "Accountability and Reporting" developed by CEOS.PP.

Guest Speaker: Meredith Tharapos (RMIT University, Melbourne Australia)
Dr. Meredith Tharapos is the Deputy Head of the Accounting Department at RMIT University. Meredith’s research is broadly concerned with behavioural issues within the field of accounting, and includes educational, cultural and accountability aspects. Meredith is an active member of the accounting education community through her roles as Convenor of the annual RMIT Accounting Educators’ Conference, and committee member of the AFAANZ Accounting Education Special Interest Group. She is an Associate Editor of Accounting Education and The International Journal of Management Education, and an Editorial Board member of Journal of Accounting Education. Meredith’s student-centred teaching approach, underpinned by her research surrounding cultural intelligence, is based around the generation of a supportive and inclusive learning environment. She is passionate about creating transformative and authentic educational experiences for her students and has had the honour of receiving a number of teaching excellence awards.
