About the Event

The following seminar will take place on 16 December 2022, at 16h00, within the ISCAP/IPP Accounting Webinar Series.

Corporate reporting on artificial intelligence, algorithmic decision making and data protection. A corporate digital responsibility approach. Guest Speaker: Enrique Bonsón (University of Huelva). 

The webinar is integrated in the curricular unit activities of the Degree in Accounting and Administration; Degree in Consultancy and Translation; Degree in Corporate Communication; Master in Accounting and Finance; Master in Corporate Finance; and Master in Management and Legal Business Regime of the Social Economy.  The event is aimed at students, teachers and researchers in the field of Accounting and is part of the research line "Accountability and Reporting" developed by CEOS.PP.

Guest Speaker: Enrique Bonsón is a Professor of Accounting at the University of Huelva, Spain. Founder and co-editor of the International Journal of Digital Accounting Research(2001- ), he has served on editorial boards of several respected journals. Professor Bonsón is the President of the Commission for New Technologies in Accounting of the Spanish Accounting and Business Association (AECA, 2009- ). He was a founding member and coordinator of the provisional jurisdiction of XBRL in Spain (2002-2004), Vice-president of XBRL Spain (2004-2016) and member of the   Executive Committee of XBRL Europe (2012-2014). In 2017 he was a co-founder and currently (2018- ) a member of the board of directors of the Spanish Observatory on Big data, artificial intelligence, and data analytics (BIDA). His research publications appear inGovernment Information Quarterly, International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, International Journal of Auditing, Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting, Journal of Information Systems, Online Information Review, Social Science Informationand many other business and professional periodicals. In 1997 he received the Award for Notable Contributions to Artificial Intelligence/Expert Systems Teaching in Accounting (AI/ET Section of the AAA). His research activity has received 4 positive evaluations (six-year terms) from the Spanish Agency for Research Evaluation in 2002, 2009, 2015 and 2021.
